Dinner with Amanda and Amy and Nadja (as our tag-along) at Sharky's.
We all have been talking about its -huge bowl of yummy for your tummy buffalo chicken salad- lately and had the crave. Yeah, the crave, alright! Nadja was as usual being the nicest kid colouring the kids menu with the crayons while mommy and her girlfriends were busy chattin'. I am glad the girls didnt mind that I tagged Nadja along with us, since my hubby had something to do and I didnt feel like getting a sitter for her. At the end of the dinner, Nadja did not forget to say : "I had a really good time with you and your friends,mommy!!"

holidays = ka-ching!
itu berlaku buat gue, hubby and nad...
on xmas eve kita ke rumah grandma nya hubby to gather with the family..aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas
my in laws and their family are the nicest people on earth (besides my family, friends and you guys ;), of course)
on xmas day kita ke rumah mertua gue.
they all celebrate xmas as for the 3 of us are celebrating hari raya Iedul Fitri.
so on xmas, the 3 of us get all of our 'pending' lebaran presents.
we opened the presents together.
Lumayan juga, gue dapet quite some amount of $ from family, cybershot from hubby, martini glasses from friends, new pots and pans (from mom in law...yiiippeeee),lots of bath and body works products, etc
Nadja got the most presents (from us,great grandmas, grandma & grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins) since she is the only baby in the family.

SUNDAY
Hub wanted to see LOTR2. I , on the other hand, preferred to finish my xmas shopping (taking Nadja). The mall was packed since it was the last weekend of Xmas. Saw Ross and then the 3 of us ended up spending my first hour going into some stores together. Right after we split up, I saw Amy while I was looking for some new cellphones. Julie (the Indonesian girl whom just moved to my area) bought some bakso and tahu from Strip District..met me there @ the mall to give .........)Bought some shirts and pairs of jeans for hub from EXPRESS. A pair of khakis (cargo) and tank tops from AE for me, and some other stuff for in-laws. Had our chicken teriyaki (Nad's favorite pick)

FRIDAY-COULD IT BE ANXIETY ATTACK?
Nii gila banget nihh..jam satu pagi gitu tiba2 gue gak bisa tidur, trus gue yg berasa aneh gitu...Felt like I was ready to jump out of my body!! Seriously...all I wanted to do was jumping up and down. Crazy, wasnt it?

WEDNESDAY-<strong>NADJA WENT TO SEE THE PEDIATRIST
It was just for a well visit. Nadja wasn't sick or anything. It is kind of scary to know that we are having this flu outbreak. I have called them and asked for the flu shot. They put Nad's name on the waiting list. Wasn't a surprise,eh. The reason we didnt get the shot earlier was because I was away on my Jakarta trip for 2 months. I have talked to some friends from other states, they are too still waiting to get the shots for the kids.
Doctor : There is nothing really we can do about the flu. It just showed up and we dont even have enough flu shots for these people.
Me : Do you have any idea when you are getting some in?
Doctor : No, not really. Nadja is perfectly healthy at the moment. Here's my tip...stay away from the malls. That's where people normally get it from other people.
Hubby : Ha! *grin at me*
Me : Gulp.

SUNDAY-
WORK-XMAS PARTY
I came. I played. I kicked Ass.
We had a
xmas party for work at Plombo's. It was all about food and drinks (open tab, that is!) followed by some silly games.
I,
fortunately, let myself made a fool of myself by participated in the
'butt-cheek quarter' game. For those of you who have no idea what it is : You stick a quarter in between your butt cheeks, and you have to walk trying not to drop the quarter and put the quarter into a cup. Interesting, huh?
It was pretty disgusting and fun in the same way.
So yes, I came. I played. I kicked ass.

Eh, di luar saljuan

Aduh kok gue jadi kepengen banget makan soto-nya Cak Ali
yah?

lho, yang di pinggir jalan Otista situ
tuh.
Itu semangkok nasi campur soto surabaya yang kuahnya bening, plus taburan irisan daging serta toge dan beberapa jumput daun bawang...
Jangan lupa nyomot paru yg dibungkus plastik kecil2 (se-tiny wee plastik gitu seribu lima ratus rupiah kalo gak salah)..biasanya gue nyomot 5-6 bungkus.
Gak ketinggalan perkedel kentangnya yang bunder2 seksi juga segala macam krupuk sampe emping.Sambelnya itu
deeeeeh ...eleeeeeeuh eleeeeeuhhhh. Porsi soto sama nasinya
sih gak besar, tapi "perlengkapan" nya itu
doooooong.....
Kemaren di Jakarta, satu malem sebelom balik ke amrik, gue sempetin visiting cak ali beserta gerombolan sotonya...Para mas-mas peracik sotonya kaget berats ngeliat gue dan pada beteriak "
Wah,mbak..sudah lama ndak kesini..ada kalik dua tahun
yah??"

"JIKA ADA GUNANYA MINTA MAAF,UNTUK APA ADA POLISI..."
guess what?
I got hooked with the very famous Meteor Garden.
Awalnya dari keingintahuan gue kenapa kok semua org selalu ngebicarain ttg MG ini, gak jarang juga gue lihat MG merchandise bertebaran dimana2 termasuk kaki lima-kaki lima Jakarta. Masih berseliwerannya sekelebat cowok2 berambut shaggy ala MG (yg ini gak kuku deh ama ke pede an mereka). Ketenarannya kelihatan masih lumayan melekat walaupun masa boomingnya udah lewat lama sekali. Gue yg ketinggalan jaman. Thats for sure. Gue emang gak pernah suka nonton serial cina begitu. atau mungkin karena gue jauh tinggal disini, jd agak2 kurang kena sentil sama 'demam f4/MG'. Whateverlah. Yg jelas skrg gue 'nagih'. Wkt di Jkt...gue sempet beli MG1 (kalo gak salah ada 19 disc) ...niatnya buat nonton di amrik..dikala iseng mengisi wkt senggang gue. Yang ada, selama di Jkt ..ngintip nonton juga..awal2nya cuma pengin nonton permulaannya aja..lama2 keterusan sampe episode 1 habis ...I got hooked!!
Kocak aja gmn si Dao Ming Si jatuh cinta ama si Shan Cai. So sweet...
Akhirnya beli MG2 (ada 33 disc).... nonton lah gue di amrik..sampe2 nadja hapal Dao Ming Si, Hua Zhe Lei dan Shan Chai..nggak lupa juga lagunya sering Nadja nyanyi in "Oh baby..baby..baby..my baby..baby.." yg kayak gitu lah. Skrg, MG2 udah semua gue tonton....dan NAGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIH!!!!

BLACK FRIDAY SALE
hubby left the house about 7 am to get me the sony camcorder that I wanted and was onsale that day. I decided to stay at home with Nadja.
he came home with nothing but a set of DORA THE EXPLORER bedding set for nadja. Bed sheet. pillow shams.blanket.comforter. no camcorder.
Yelled : "NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!" (read : nggak lagi-lagi deh awwwwwwwww)
PS : I,thank god for this, hit the sales in weekend. It wasn't as good as the black friday but it sure was worth it.

THXGIVING DAY
went to uncle tom's for a nice turkey meal. made a fool of myself when I asked everybody at the house where aunt P was. apparently no one told me. she ran away and left her family for some millioner !! aunt P.. all the best for you. you are still our aunt no matter what.
thats one thing not to be thankful for though.
