Friday nite. 6 o' clock dinner @
Dino's Resto with
Sam (I am), Joys, Amy Jo, Amanda and Jason. I looooove Sam (I am)..he is just simply hillarious. We all had some interesting conversations and laughed our butts off. The whole time!!
Oh, before dinner, hubby & I stopped at the state's wines and spirits store to get more absolut and sour apple Schnapps. After that, hubby left to Canada (Fri nite-Sunday morning) and I went out with my friends. My in laws babysat Nadja.
So after Dino's, off we went to Amy Jo's house to have our own lil martini partaaaaaaay. I was very well-prepared. Bottle of
Absolut, a bottle of sour apple Schnapps, my silver shaker (which I looove) and I even brought set of martini glasses. Hey...u can only drink martini from martini glasses...aiiiight!!
Arrived at Amy's around 8 and started chuggin' the drinks. Took some silly pictures, laughed the whole time, watched a scary movie (something about this "supposedly" scary toothfairy- but none of us was really watchin' it or, cared)
I was shakin' the shaker from 8-11. They drank pretty quick. Thought I'd better stop before it gets us in trouble..Hahahhaha..too late!! already did!!
Came home( thank God, Amy only lives 2 blocks away)...chatted with my sexy gals *wink at Lia,J,Ina,Diny*..talked about the upcoming Vegas trip.
So...should I stay or should I go?????

hari senin kemaren gue motong poninya Nadja...hihihi...kependekan banget deh kayaknya. Dari dia lahir sampe umur 3 tahun ini emang selalu gue yg motong poni dan ngeratain panjang nya.
Untungnya dia gak pecicilan gerak2 kalo gue lagi motong. Duduk diem..mungkin takut kalo2 ibunya salah motong..hehehe. Eh nggak deh..dulu waktu ke Jakarta taun 2001 (nadja masih umur 7 bulan), kita bawa dia potong rambut di KiddyCuts di Plaza Senayan...lutuuuuuuuuu...nih ada fotonya..
herannya selama dipotong rambutnya..si nadja madep2 ke belakang mulu..bawaannya pengen ngeliat si mas-mas yg motongin rambutnya..mungkin dia mikir "Lho orang ini sapa ya? kok ini bukan nyokap gue..biasanya yg motong rambut gue kan nyokap gue". So balik lagi ke poni nadja sekarang ini, kependekan ngga sih yaaaaaaa???

A MOMENT IN FRONT OF AN ADULT STORE
Hari ini gue keFederal Bldg di downtown...ke INS tepatnya...berhubung my I 551 has been approved. Karena hubby tadi ngga kerja, kita pergi berdua. Sampe sana udah jam 10.15..padahal appointment gue jam 10.30. So, gue turun depan building...dan hubby markir. The appointment went easy. Gak seperti yg org2 bilang..(i.e lamaaaa..officernya jutek dan bawel...musti diinterview dan ditanya macem2). Begitu gue nyampe..nama gue langsung dipanggil..nyerahin semua dokumen..did the fingerprints..tanda tangan sana sini..and I was done!!!Easy like the Sunday morning. It took me 5 minutes, approximately. So gue nunggu kira2 15menit sampe hubby nyusul naik ke atas. Lama banget markir aja! Ternyata, all the parking garage were full. So he had to park 6 blocks away. Huh, ada apa dengan downtown hari ini? Biasanya, walo pun gak gampang2 amat nyari parkir..tapi paling nggak ya nggak begini. Gila hari ini dingiiiiiiiiiin banget lagi. So akhirnya kita jalan bedua menuju parking garage itu...it was so windy and so darn cold. And the worst part...itu sidewalk rada2 icy..and of course I had my pointed toe-stilletto on. After about 2 blocks gue nyerah deh..soalnya kaki gue yg sebelah kiri masih rada sakit..So I stopped and asked him *nicely* to just get the car and I just wait there right in front of a store.
Dijawab : NO!!!
Gue kesel dong...gile ni org gak sayang banget ama gue
"Dwi, you are standing right in front of an adult store!!!!!!!!!!"
lhaaaaaaa..ya pantes gak boleh...gue berenti nya (dan pengen nunggu) persis di depan toko gak jelas itu...dan itu toko (dari luar) menyeramkan gitu...bagian depannya warna2 ngejreng...dan tidak ada pemberitahuan (big sign kek) kalo itu 'toko dewasa'... laaaaaaah ngobrol doooong.
not like i've never been to one ;)..but that one WAS really scarry..
akhirnya...i walked down a few stores away and went into a "LESS" scary place called Liberty Tavern *home of the big 4ss burgers* (thats what it says on their big window) and got myself a cup of tea...TO GO!

udah 2 hari(or maybe 3) gue emang gak telp ke Jkt..mostly ampir tiap hari sih gue telp. akhirnya gue dial no telp rumah jkt. trus gue kasih nadja pas nada sambung. pas banget lagi nyokap yg angkat.
"Bun...what you doing Bun? are you crying Bun? I miss you Bun...what?what?what?"
kayaknya Nadja nggak denger gitu nyokap gue ngomong apa, so telp nya gue ambil.

Satu lagi contoh nih..dari bulan lalu kan nadja punya hobby baru yah. Ngapain? Nge-beads...Gara2 bokapnya beliin dia satu set beads (for kids) waktu mereka pegi shopping bedua. Comes with the string, colorful beads,etc in a box. I wasnt too happy about it...karena gue pikir Nad is still too young for that. What if she puts the beads in her mouth? What if she gets chocked? What if? What if? ...
Ternyata Nad knew what she was doing. Dia tau kalo dia
gak boleh masuk2in beads itu ke mulutnya..atau lobang2 yg lain..hehehe...Trus si Nad bikin2 kalung,gelang ..ibu2 PKK banget gak sih diaaaaaaa?? Dia bilang dia mau bikin banyak..kasih ke temen2nya ...trus bikin buat bbrp temen gue juga...satu buat mertua gue yg cewe..sepasang kalung dan gelang buat gue..Gue ama hubby cengar cengir gitu...
Dah gitu yah..tuh anak rapih tertib dan teratur banget..Komposisi warnanya..cara kerjanya...cuman satu yg dia gak bisa and still needs our help...'matiin' tali nya...
FYI, nyokap gue duluuuu sempet yg addicted gitu bikin2 beads...segala lah temen2 nya dibikinin jewelry crystal gitu..gue inget banget, beli perlengkapannya di Toko Renda Plaza Senayan. Dia tuh emang kreatif banget..so nurun lah ke Nad.

Anyway, ini sebenarnya yg mo gue bahas...semingguan setelah nad mulai ber-prakarya itu..gue cerita ke nyokap...gue bilang kalo gue selalu lupa ngasih tau nyokap (tiap gue telp nyokap) kalo skrg nadja lagi into beads...
eeeeeeh...tiba2 nyokap ngomong gini :
" Ya ampun Kakkkkkk...merinding mama kakkkkkkk...beberapa hari lalu mama lagi di rumah temen mama..tiba2 Nadja was on my mind..dalam pikiran mama itu si Nadja lagi main2 bikin2 kalung pake beads...trus mama yakin!! yakiiiin banget kalo nadja gak bisa ngiket dan nyimpul talinya..makanya dia kesel..trus minta tolong kakak...kok aneh ya??mama aja heran kok tiba2 mama kebayang kayak gitu yah??"
Ngeriiiiiii...
Kalo udah kayak gitu...gue cuman bisa bersyukur...karena keliatan banget hubungan bathin si nyokap gue ama anak gue kuatnya minta ampun.
In a way..spooky sih emang...tapi...its good to know that even though they are thousands of thousands miles apart..they are still thinking about each other a lot!!
Naaaaaaaaaah...ini foto gue pake kalung dan gelang buatan my 3 year old Nadja... Lucu yaaaaaaa....

Amit amit!!!! Hari ini dinginnya bukan main. Gue kalo udah dingin gak kuat gini, rasanya pengen nangis aja. Sumpah deh!!! Ngilu nya itu lhoooooo ampe ke tulang sum sum!!!!
I had 3 loads of laundry to do. One more to go. I really dont mind doing the laundry it self (washing and drying). Piece of cake! Folding (ironing) them is what really a pain in the butt!!!
Manusia emang gak pernah puas...udah untung ada mesin cuci!!!

NADJA & HER BOO BOO
Barusan jidat nadja kepentok ujung sofa. Kesian..dari bunyi "jeduk" nya kayaknya kenceng juga. Gak nyampe 2 menit langsung benjol. Dia nangis bentaran, abis itu langsung heboh minta + nyari band aid. Fyi, we have like hundreds of band aids. Tiap pergi Nadja suka minta beli band aids. Yg gambar spongebob lah, dora the explorer lah, crayons lah, sesame street lah, rugrats lah.. macem2 deh. So, terkadang kalo udah luka sedikit/kejedot (which is jarang-jarang kejadian) dia suka manja pengen pake band aid nya...Trus ntar di pamer2 ke orang2.

Nihhh mau cerita ttg wkt minggu lalu gue ama nadnad sakit.. that darn flu!! yikeeees...
Minggu lalu kan gue ngepost ttg kita ke pediatrician(/-st) nya nadja for her well-visit. gue sempet curhatan tanya2 ttg musim flu trus beliau bilang baguslah keliatannya nadja sehat2 aja and for us to stay away from the mall (one of the public places where most people got their flu). Well, I didnt listen (hellllowwwwww we had to buy xmas gifts for family and friends gitu looooh!!).
Sebenernya sih, bukan karena ke mall.
Hari Jumat pagi bangun tidur itu gue udah mulai dapet sore throat. Sakiiiiiiit banget... Cuman udah kepalang tanggung gue udah janjian ama Julie,Gina, Imelda, Malou, Marlyn, Yola to join them for a girls nite out. So gue dengan cuek bebeknya pergi ama mereka tapi prepared dulu nenggak Alka Seltzer. Kita cabut ke PF Chang and there was already a 3 hour wait to be seated goin on! Can u imagine that? Na'aaaaah!!Damn you for not taking any reservations on weekends!So we went to Buca Di Beppo instead (me and hub's fave resto). 7 of us girls went crazy on the food . I, on the other hand, didnt eat too much because I wasnt feeling too good. I called home to check on hubby and my cutie pie nad. Everything was fine. Nad gave daddy a lil bit of hard time but everything was fine. Hubby is the coolest when it comes to me and my girls having our girls nite out. Afterwards, we headed to downtown and ended up at Matrix. The 4 different rooms (Velvet, goddess, Exit, Liquid) with 4 different musics (house, trance, latin, hip hop) were packed as usual. We just hopped into one room to another and ended up in Goddess. Got home around 4am (or was it 4.30??). Whoaaaaaaa...tired! And my sore throat preferred to stay and bother me.
To Nadnad :
This is where the disaster started. I woke up and played with Nadja for a little bit. She wasn't being herself, I noticed. Not too-too happy-go-nadja as she normally is. Her bod was warm. Kept on checking her temp and when it gets to the point where it made me shaky, we rushed her to the emergency room.Yep..it was 104!!! That was the scariest moment in my life.
We had to wait for about an hour and a half (i think more) in the ER before someone checked on her. Why do we even bother to call it "THE" Emergency Room...when you think you really need the emergency medical attention but you still have to have those long wait in a cubical room with other sick people!!! Its just like going to your doctor's office, dont you think??? Blah!
Anyway, they came to the conclusion where it was the flu that Nad had. But it wasnt too bad because she wasnt vomitting nor dehydrating.
As for gue pribadi....adooooooowww waktu nunggu di hospital itu, pala gue sendiri rasanya mau pecah...dizzy, kliyengan banget....tenggorokan masih sakit...but I was too busy thinking about nadja and hoping that she would be okay.
Sampe rumah, gue langsung ambruk. Besoknya gue ke dokter. Guess what? I had the flu!! Dikasi antibiotik. Yang ada, gue ama nadja hampir semingguan deh di rumah. All we did was tiduran di sofa sambil nonton cartoons. Hubby did all the housework sepulangnya dia kerja.
Kalo gue boleh milih, mending gue disuruh nimba air di sumur 17 ember gede deh daripada kena flu...amit amit jabang baybeeeeeeeh!! 17 x 2 = 34 ember juga gak papa deh..gue kan musti nimbain jatahnya si nadja juga. But of course gak ada yg tega nyuruh gue nimba 34 ember so they rather gave me the flu. You, whoever you are, you suck big time for giving me that flu!!!!
New Year-an seharusnya kita di invite Julie ke rumahnya. But, thanks to the flu..we had to stay at home and watch MTV.
Anyway, I am just glad that it is all over!!!!!! Oh, happy new year (belated) everyone!

Ini hari Sabtu ya? Tadi hubby yg masak, trus malemnya temen kerjanya hubby nelfon ...ngajak ke rumahnya. Barry & Kara (and their 1 year old daughter Geonna) are our bestfriends. I havent seen them for months!! So that was a nice visit. They rented some movies, we came over..and from all the movies they rented, we all decided to see American Wedding, and oh-God knows how many times we all have seen it. STIFLER IS TOTALLY THE STEVE-MISTER!!!!

Jumat...Went to the mall...gue berdua nadja aja...iseng2...keliling2....ramenya minta ampun. Seems like everybody was at the mall at the same time!!! Tuh orang2 pasti pada mbalikin/nuker hadiah natal deh...heheh, nggak deng...after holidays-sale, that is!!!
Gue niatnya cuman pengen jalan2 aja...cuman yah, bukan dwi namanya kalo 'bisa' nahan diri dan kuat iman menghadapi godaan2 50%-70% itu!!!!!! daaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...
pas mampir AE, kok ngeliat satu coat yg lumayan lucu...lagian gue perlu another casual coat yg bisa dipake nge jeans . Reg. price nya $118..trus on sale for $39.99 trus masih 40% off lagi..so I ended up paying twenty two bucks !!! Cant beat that!!!!!!!!!
Trus di AE beli 2 pair of jeans buat hubby.
V neck sweater for me, a purse, earrings, some books and stickers for nadja. They were all on sale!!! Trust me.
God forgive me for spending all those bucks! But I have been a very good girl...Indeed ;)
Oya, kemaren hari rabu gue ke rumah Julie. Tetangga baru gue yg org Indo. Tuh anak hobby nya masak ama ke disko...kuat banget ampe gue heran. Badannya sama kecil2 kayak gue...ramenya minta ampun..kalo udah ngomong susah di bekep nya...nyerocos terus. Anak nya lucu deh..namanya Naomi, umur 7. Mukanya mixed banget. Gue ke rumah Julie emang niatan, karena si Yola(anak indonesia juga), temennya Julie yg lagi berkunjung ke sini, besok udah mau pulang ke belanda. Julie ngajakin ntar malem kita dine out rame2 trus drinky drinky dimana gitu loh rame2. Tapi aduuuh, gue kan baru baek sakit gini...dan di luar dinginnya amit2. So I'll pass this time..makanya, karena ntar malem gue gak mau ikutan, gue ke rumah nya aja supaya ketemuan ama Yola and say goodbye-an.
Di rumah Julie ngobrol2..makan nastar, putri salju, nge -teh.
Minggu, lunch bareng hubby, nadnad, and kedua mertua gue di Chinese Buffet. Lumayan seru. Pulangnya rame2 mampir ke Home Depot and Lowe's.
