Gila! Few days ago I had a panic attack...I couldn't find one of my precious things. Thought I lost it somewhere. Found out that I left it in the car (in one of the compartments)when I decided not to wear it on our way to a wedding. That necklace means a lot. I repeat,
A LOT! Not because of what it is, simply because of the memories. I had it custom made(white gold with a teeny weeny diamond-see the N-) when I was in Jakarta almost 4 years ago. That was Nadja's first trip home (she has two homes, here & Jakarta of course)...she was just a little tiny baby. I have been wearing it since then. It is actually the necklace I made Nadja for when she grows up (hiks). But like I said, I have been wearing it. Got a lot of compliments from a lot of people, even strangers that I bumped into, like,
"your necklace is too cute" or
"you have a very nice name" or
"where did you have it made?" and I will reply
"thank you" or
"oh, that's my daughter's name" or
"actually pretty far-Indonesia" and they will (again) say
"you're welcome" or
"aaaaaw..but,you have a daughter?!" or
"Indo-what?".
Anyway, glad I found it. Pfffffffffff....

Kalau dihitung dari semenjak gue hamil Nadja, ini adalah mother's day yang ke4. Pertama banget tuh May 2000, gue masih hamil di Jkt lagi ngurus2 kepindahan kita kesini. September 2000 Nadja lahir. Dan sekarang udah mau umur 4 aja. Time surely flies.
Well,foto diatas ini adalah foto gue menggendong baby Nadja untuk yang pertama kali di tempat tidur hospital. rasanya? waaaaaau tiada tara!!! *adu adu merinding gue nginget nya*. Itu juga untuk pertama kalinya gue nyusuin dia...Look how small she was!!! My baby's all big girl now! Dah jadi gadis kecil!!!
Anyway, pas hari ibu kemarin ini, gue ngundang hubby's grandma & kedua mertua u/ makan siang di rumah gue. Grandma's bday was on May 1st but neither of us could make it to see her and give her the bday present. Walo sebenernya sumpah banget gue tuk hari itu males masak ribet2 (was thinking to just buy a birthday cake+ice cream)akhirnya gue putusin untuk masak juga. Mulai malam seblomnya gue udah mulai nyicil2 motong2 sayuran and start cooking the beef in the crock pot. Made some pistachio pudding with some shredded chocolate on top. Nadja helped me out making the pudding.
Besoknya tinggal tumis2 kernel corn+green beans+mushroom+onion plus gue akan buat acar tomat ala nyokap.
Hari ibu akhirnya tiba, semua keliatannya menikmati hasil kerajinan tangan gue di dapur. Setelah selesai buka2 kado akhirnya kita nonton Last Samurai.
Surprise surprise.. hubby took nadja for a little walk and nadja picked some wild flowers for me. beautiful! hubby got me this hairdryer stand from

I was soooooo happy. Saw that on tv (korban iklan banget ya) months ago but didnt get a chance to write down the phone number to order. Also got a new cellie from him few days before. It is time to get a new one, not that I dont like my old one anymore or something. I also switched my service from T-m*bile to Veriz*n, finally. Nothing fancy but both the hairdryer and new cellie were the two things that I needed tho. Everyone left around 7pm...trus gue ke Blockbuster nyewa Chasing Liberty and Timeline.
Malemnya, chatting sama Donie,si ganteng adiknya kakak ipar gue yg lagi sekolah di Oz. Donie tuh umurnya lebih tua setaun deh ya dari gue..dan orangnya amat sangat gariiiing sodara2! Tiap chatting ama dia gue udah harus siap2 sakit perut karena kita sering ketawa2 kyk orang gila ngomongin semua yg gak penting gitu. Don, salam buat Sally&Hia yaaa! Dah gitu (akhirnya) bisa chatting sama mbak nya donie (istrinya abang gue)..ibunya daffa...mbaaaaaaaaaak, gue kangen niiiiiiih!

Savila, (tau kan Savila?) kemaren tgl 10 ulang tahun lho.HAPPY BDAY YAH SAAAAAAAY! Sehari setelah ultah nyokap. So gue sms dia dan akhirnya ngobrol di YM.
Waktu lagi ngobrol di YM ternyata si Sapi(Savila) juga lagi telp.an sama nyokap gue.

Dah pada nonton Chasing Liberty blom? Ceritanya standard lahhh..makin banyak banget ya film2 ttg "the" president's daughter and/or a girl from the so-called royalty family. But I consider this one quite alright..pretty cute..nggak tau kenapa deh.
Couldn't take my eyes off Ben Calder (Matthew Goode..ha! just incase you were wondering what's with my YM status lately....ya know.. "Goody Goody Goode!" ^_^). His 'mighty' accent, dude...bloody hot..damn...its a killer!!! I also watched the commentary (Goode and Moore) hehehhe...couldnt resist his
goode accent. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnn. Its all about the accent baby (except for Simon Cowell's..yuckt!)

She lives in LA and doing her thing now. Hope everything will go smooth and all her dreams will come true.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY + HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MAMA!!!!!!
Hari ini (wkt Indo) mama Melati ultah lho. Yang ke 54. Selamat ulang tahun ya..semoga panjang umur dan sehat selalu. Kakak kangen mama...kakak sayang mama.
Kemarin telp adik gue..suruh dia ambil duit dari ATM gue..trus pergi beli cake buat mama (either) di Eaton Plaza Senayan or Gran Melia. Jadi cakenya (harus) udah ada di rumah Sabtu malam. Kado buat mama (harusnya) bakal keterima hari Minggu siang.
Barusan ini (Sabtu jam 7 malem)...berarti hari Minggu jam 6pagi WIB...kita telp mama...Nadja nyanyi.

vintage banget yaaaaa foto2nya...hahahah!(sorry ma..I just gotta!) Itu foto yg paling atas deket judul adalah foto mama sendirian lagi centil (no wonder..siapa dulu cucunya)..gue lupa pernah dikasi tau beliau umur berapa di foto itu..dan tulisan dibelakangnya sudah amat sangat tidak jelas dan luntur boooww..plus tulisannya purba sekali pasti tulisan nenek gue deh...but I am sure masih umur belas2an gitu...dibawah 20an lah. Kalo yg foto kebayaan ini waktu jaman jaya2nya...jadi ratu vespa aja gitu...yg foto atas si mama no 6 dari kanan ..yg pake selendang item plus black shades (uuuuuhuyyy). yg bawah itu mama sendirian lagi mengendarai vespa di atas panggung. nih temen2 gue yg pada gila vintage vespa pasti pada teriak2 deh liat foto ini *lirik firman dan arie*...seru kan nyokap gue????!!! and another thing, when my mommy see this post(she reads the blog every once in a while)..she'd either be happy or i will be grounded for life!!! Oh well, we'll see what she thinks!

crappy banget ya rasanya kalo lo udah bbrp hari gak buka friendst*r trus waktu lo buka email dapet notice (banyak banget) dari friendst*r aja gitu..to approve (banyak) testimonials. sementara.. waktu lo coba buka friendst*r...friendst*rnya lagi under maintenance aja gitu. JABRIIIIIIIXXXXXX!!
