I could NOT believe when Nad came home from school today and said :
" I learned something new at school today!"
*put her one hand on her chest*
" I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America"
That was awesome! I mean for a pre schooler..and I cant believe she memorized it very well.
When I called Rob and told him that..he was amazed and all happy, he said "Did the teacher also teach her the complete one? I pledge allegiance to my Flag and to the Republic for which it stands one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all"
Ok, dont push it! The kid is only 4 year old!
Nad also said that she was the 'line leader' for when they had to go wash their hands for snack time. She was also 'the red riding hood' for red riding hood play. Way to go, Ms Nad!!

MY GIGGLES OF THE DAY
Nad : "Guess what! I am going to a field trip with my school!"
Gue : "Yea? That is so cool! Where to?"
Nad : "The fire apartment!"

Hubby : Hun, I had a diarrhea last nite. It was pretty bad.
Gue : What happened?
Hubby : Dunno. I think it was probably from those peanuts or nuts I was eating last nite.
Gue : What peanuts? *thinking that Nadja finished all the cashews last week*
Hubby : You know, they were on the kitchen counter. You put them in the container or something.
Gue : You mean those ones by the microwave?
Hubby : Uh huh.
Gue : My gosh, those are KEMIRI!!!!
Hubby : KEMMMMwhaaaaat?
Gue : Candle nuts! For cooking..I make my sambel for soto ayam with those!
Hubby : Holy cow! I probably ate like twenty of them! They were pretty good though!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Mas Robot!
*image diatas diambil dari undangan pernikahan kita di jakarta..as you can tell..yg cute sebelah kiri itu suami saya..dan yg pongo' sebelah kanan itu adalah saya sendiri. foto memang sengaja dicari yg keliatan paling bloon dan lucu supaya bisa sedikit menciptakan sedikit senyum pada tetamu yg diundang. tentunya sangat mudah sekali menemukan foto2 pongo saya..dan foto kecil suami yg terpilih berikut itu adalah foto *yang menurut ibunda-nya* adalah yg ter-pongo'. tentu...tentu...but not fair at all..knp musti saya sendirian yg terlihat pongo'?! PS: keanehan pada kuping kiri foto kanak2 mempelai wanita adalah merupakan kesalahan teknis dari perusahaan printingnya, ndak jelas guntingan fotonya ndak dibenerin dulu atau gimana. sumpah kok, aslinya ndak seperti itu*

weekend ini td nya kita rencana tuk pergi dua2an ke Philadelphia. Berhubung si charlie yg dari florida agak2 ngga sopan pengen mampir2 ke sini, jadinya disini ujan2 terus...ga seru lah jadinya kalo ke Philly tapi gak bisa jalan2. Akhirnya kita putusin tuk 'pacaran' sekalian 'exploring' Pittsburgh aja...hahhaha..ngga deng.
One weekend in downtown Pittsburgh...ngapain ya? Uhhhhh....ribet juga. Stlh booking kamar (ngamar ni jo')
disini, akhirnya sabtu siang kita berangkat dari rumah menuju downtown. Sampe di hotel, check in. Trus iseng aja ke Andy Warhol Museum. Tapi tutup! Basi banget gak sih...gara2 si charlie yg bikin Pitts jd ujan melulu, sebagian dari Pitts terendam air dan salah satunya , itu museum basement nya tergenang air gitu loh! Ya udah akhirnya dari situ kita jalan kaki ke Heinz Field area...ada 2 game hari itu. Ramenya minta ampun, kita cuek aja jalan2 kaki liat2in org2 yg pada tail gating. Sempet liat Point State Park juga yg terendam. AKhirnya nonton omnimax di science theater. It was fun. Dari situ balik ke hotel. Mandi siap2 tuk dinner. NAKAMA seru juga. Definitely a fun place to eat and hang out. Gotta love the habachi! Food was great, the drink was fabulous! We were the happy campers!Tadinya after dinner kit amau lanjut clubbing gitu ke boardwalk...but heck, we had the room for ourselves tonight! So, balik ke hotel...and *beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*
Besoknya, bangun trus check out. Ke strip, sekalian beli sushi (brunch) di Andy's Sushi. Yummy! Again, we were full and were the happy campers! Trus dari downtown Pitts kita drive ke state sebelah...west virginia. Keliling2, mampir di Cab3ll4'5....and couldnt wait to go home cause we missed Ms. Nad sooooooo much!

nadja baru 2 kali masuk sekolah udah musti bolos karena sakit. untungnya bukan flu, allergy aja kayaknya. kesian, she missed her first show and tell at school. it was 'bring something yellow'. she was going to bring her yellow school bag.
malemnya dia udah practice ke gue & daddy-nya. kurang lebih begini dia ngomongnya :
"hi my name is nadja. today i am bringing my yellow school bag. it has a picture of sesame street school bus with elmo, big bird, and cookie monster on it. my bunda bought it for me when I was a baby for when I go to school. bunda is my grandma from Indonesia. now I am big enough to go to school to 'wear'it".

nadja rada upset juga pagi2 wkt gue larang dia untuk sekolah, soalnya malemnya hidungnya meler terus, dan batuk ngga berenti. i knew better not to send her to school so other kids will not get what she had ( not knowing if it was a flu or allergy ). A wise thing to do! I hope all parents will be smart enough and also think about other kids in the class instead of sending the sick kid to school so they dont have to miss their work.
So Nad did miss 2 days of school that week.
The next day she went, daddy drove her, I wrote a little note for Mrs D (her teacher) saying that Nad is all better now but she was upset for not able to do the show and tell. She was all prepared. I also asked the teacher if it is okay for Nad to bring her 'yellow thing' next time she comes in so she can catch up. Mrs D said it is okay. Cool beans!
Had to go to downtown (4th avenue)with Julie. Udahannya lunch di mandarin lounge.

nad's first day of pre school
anak gadis gue udah gede lho.
hari ini masuk sekolah.
hari orientasi.
dia yg mau sekolah, hubby+gue yg nervous berats.
tugas kita ngajarin yg simple2 plus good manners udah bisa ringan sedikit skrg karena bakal ada teachers yg bantuin. its not over yet though...
wkt kita di jkt 2 bulan nadja juga sempet ikutan int'l school..
dia enjoy banget..lucunya, ga takut sama sekali, ga nangis..
malah gue dan bunda nya (nyokap gue) diusir secara halus sama dia
"you go home bunda, i'll be okay"
hari ini, gue bilang sama dia..saat orientasi, dia harus inget "to behave and make friends"
so she did. and we're so proud.
way to go Ms Nad!
