T H E S H I R T S S A Y I T A L L
this is the shirt I picked for nadnad :
hubby picked this one instead :
..and so we're back from our road trip. nadja was being such a good and big girl during our entire trip. it was quite a long drive (approximately 7 hours to New Jersey but took us less than 6 hours going home incl. the REALLY-bad-work-traffic in Philly). we had 2 stops for potty , stretching out and stuff. nadja seemed to enjoy the ride as she asked us a lot to turned up the volume when her fave hip hop songs are on. "a little louder, please...a little louder".
she spent most of her time singing (from hip hops, rnb or just her itsy bitsy spider to i'm a lil teapot) or looking out the window, or writing her name with a crayon on her pocket book. the annoying part tho' she kept on singing "we're going to the ciiiity...we're going to the ciiiity" (atlantic city maksudnya) and then asked : "are we there yet?are we there yet?" every 10 minutes.
she loved the tunnels and would scream from her carseat to speed the car and said : "go daddy!! go daddy its your bday" followed by "we gonna party like its your bday"..
Ha! Thank God for
KIdzbop for their kids-friendly versions.
Arrived at The Trop Hotel and checked in. The Trop is really nice. Then we walked down the boardwalk (just strolling down and checking out some small cool shops). Then we played on the beach. Nadja enjoyed her time playing in the sand looking for some sea shells. It was about 85degrees but of course the wind was a killer. brrrrrr....
We had early dinner at the Italian Gourmet which was very yummy then went back to the hotel to get some rest before getting ready to see the Tribute Show at the Trop...the best part : we could bring nadja in. The show was awesome. They impersonated the good ol' Elvis, rod steward, Britney Spears,Garth Brooks and many more.
"Garth Brooks" actually got off the stage and went to the crowd shaked some of the audiences hands and pinched Nadja's cheek. I thought he would never let go of her cheek I almost smack him. Nadja was so happy for he did that to her we could see it in her face. Is was fun..Nadja did some of her funky moves and gave him some claps in the air. Back to the room and crashed.
The next morning, Nadja woke us up like 7.30 am ..and was all giddy up for she wanted to go to the beach. Arrrrrrrrghhhhhhh....I still wanted to be in beeeeeed! The beach aint going nowhere, Nad!!!
"can we go to the beach noooow?"
"can we? can I ? can I? can I ? oh, pleaseeeeeeee"
repeated hundreds of times
i draged myself out of the cozy bed*ngumpulin nyawa* and gave her a quick bath and just let her grabbed her sand bucket and all and took her outside the room...took her to the big window and see the ocean. IT WAS STILL COOOOOOLD, i told her. she finally gave up .
the 3 of us went down for brunch at the seaside cafe. goooooood fooooood! Then we went for some walks along the boardwalk ...I got self-pampered from a chinese massage shop. 20 freakin' bucks for every 15 minutes. what a rip-off compare to the so called "traditional" indo massage. it was good though my back and neck felt a lot better.
thats about it..we spent most of the time playing in the beach or just boardwalk-ing. checking out The Trops, Taj, Bally's, Trump Plaza, Sand, etc ....
Ooops would love to write more but I really have to go.
I should be back with some pics from Vegas and Atlantic City. Bye for now!
